The 2025 International Conference on Generative AI for Business (GAIB 2025) successfully concluded its vibrant three-day even. The event received tremendous support from the Department of Information Systems, the Department of Decision Analytics and Operations, and the Generative AI for Business Lab at City University of Hong Kong, with comprehensive technical support provided by AIScholar. Adopting a hybrid format, GAIB 2025 brought together leading experts, scholars, and industry elites from around the world, both in-person and online, for a premier academic summit.


Highlights


The conference was officially inaugurated with a warm welcome address by Professor Stephen Wan Hang SHUM, Dean of the College of Business at City University of Hong Kong, who set the stage for the collaborative discussions that followed.

Attendees were treated to a series of enlightening keynote speeches that explored the cutting edge of Generative AI applications in business. The distinguished speakers included:

A Hub of Academic Exchange


GAIB 2025 attracted widespread participation from scholars representing over 40 top-tier universities globally, including Cornell University (USA), Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Seoul National University (South Korea), The University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Hong Kong Shue Yan University, University of Macau, and Tianjin University.

The conference received nearly 140 paper submissions, with over 30 contributed by international authors. The presentations and discussions covered a broad spectrum of topics within Generative AI for business, fostering deep and productive academic dialogue.


Mission Accomplished


GAIB 2025 fulfilled its mission to establish a high-level international platform for fostering innovation and academic exchange in Generative AI for business. The success of this conference has significantly promoted the deep integration and pragmatic cooperation between academia and industry, injecting new vitality into the development of the field.
